### Commutation Petition Probably Will Go to Governor Tuesday or Wednesday

It was stated at the Office of the State Prison Commission Monday that owing to time given over to hearing a number of Petitions during the day the Commissioners were not expected to complete their Report to the Governor on Leo M. Frank's Petition for a Commutation before Tuesday, and that there was a possibility that it would be Wednesday before the Report reached Governor Slaton.

The Commissioners had expected to hold their Final Consultation on Monday and then make up their Report, but Monday was the Opening Day for the regular June term of Hearing Applications for Executive Clemency, and a number of such Petitions were presented and argued.

Solicitor General Hugh M. Dorsey has let it be known that he would appear before the Governor in opposition to Frank's Petition, and has written to the Governor asking that he be heard. The Governor replied saying that if the Case came to him, he would notify the Solicitor and give him a full opportunity to present his Arguments. Attorneys for Frank will also be given the same privilege; it being the custom of the Governor, to hear from both sides in Clemency Cases.
