Mrs. J. W. Coleman, mother of Mary Phagan, has filed suit for $10,000 damages against the National Pencil Factory, naming Leo M. Frank and Jim Conely as the slayers of her daughter. The suit was filed yesterday in Superior Court and will be given an early hearing. Mrs. Coleman alleges that both of the accused men, having been employees of the National Pencil Factory, the concern is therefore liable for damages for having failed to protect the life and welfare of her child. Mrs. Coleman is represented by Attorney James L. Key.
